Welcome to the test.eFileReady.com Developer LIVE Testing Site. Use it to test LIVE e-Filing of MTD VAT, VAT 100, RTI payroll, iXBRL Accounts, CIS or Pension documents to HMRC — the entire e-Filing process, using our given sample test data spreadsheet or CSV file.

The test e-Filing User ID and Password default to eFileReady's HMRC Developer User ID and Password. When you later conduct your own routine RTI, PAYE annual return or CIS300 monthly return e-Filing, you can either use eFileReady's Agent User ID and Password, or your own.

How a Live Test Works

A Live Test submits your data to HMRC's test server exactly as if it were a live submission — the same validation, the same rules — giving you full confidence before the real thing.

Sign up and create a free Live Test account — separate from any account you'd use for a real, live submission.

Download the spreadsheet template — start with our pre-populated sample data, then move to your own.

Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file — our servers accept CSV only, for security reasons.

Sign in to our server ready to upload your prepared CSV file.

Upload the file — add a reference if you like. Takes around 3 minutes.

Check and approve — clean data gets approved instantly; anything with errors gets a report so you can fix and re-upload.

Click e-File Now and we'll send your test data to HMRC using our authorised developer or Agent credentials.

Check the e-Filing status, then view or print your certificate and IR Mark.
